According to the results of Forrester Research Inc. survey, it is found that many corporate people are choosing Software-as-a-service to run over the licensed software. The survey also found that most of the IT professionals are choosing the host services because of lower upfront costs, simplified upgrade processes and shortened execution time. In this context, it was found that the host services like CRM and Collaboration tools, Human resources were popularized.
An analyst at Forrester Research Inc. said that the service providers should still answer the staying users' questions. She also said, "many Forrester clients are uneasy about their data protection and clients often say that they are mostly concerned about software as service. They don't have specific reason to say other than this in this context." So, she considers that they are uncomfortable with that model.
Forrester has discovered the corporate consumers are exploiting that the hosted applications have gained more adaptability, and they were able to align the service with a specific need without worrying about the installation issues, software costs or upgrades.
